The Tariff Commission (TC) respects each individual’s right to privacy and recognizes
its responsibilities to protect and preserve the privacy of its data subjects (
i.e., TC
officials and employees, clients, stakeholders, and other third parties with whom it
conducts business
) as provided for in Republic Act No. 10173, known as the Data
Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), relevant policies
and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC), and other appropriate
standards.
This Privacy Policy is therefore intended to provide data subjects of TC with
information that governs the collection, use, disclosure, access, and disposal of
personal information as well as the security measures taken.
PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED
We collect personal information provided to us voluntarily, either manually or
electronically, through surveys, website usage, inquiries, employment applications,
contracts, or through requests/petitions or submissions relating to our mandates, such
as, but not limited to, the following:

- Place and Date of Birth

- Religion

- Name of Family Members
- Name of Relatives working in the government within the fourth (4th) degree of consanguinity
- Contact Information (landline number, mobile number, email)
- Copy of Identification (e.g., passport, TIN, SSS/GSIS number, license)

- Education
We may also use software tools or other forms of data collection technology to gather
information from the internet.
USE
The personal information collected is used for documentation and to process requests,
applications, or inquiries. Some of the data collected may also be used to improve our
services.
We may provide and share said information to other government agencies and other
TC stakeholders, through our Reports and other submissions. These government
agencies and other TC stakeholders are bound by laws that prohibit or limit the use of
the information we have obtained from our data subjects.
DISCLOSURE AND SHARING
Your personal information shall not be disclosed without your prior written consent
except when it is required by law or pursuant to a court order. We may, however,
provide and share said information to other government agencies, which need such
information, in the performance of our mandates. These government agencies and
other TC stakeholders are bound by laws that prohibit or limit the use of the information
we have obtained from our data subjects.
You may ask TC to refrain from, or to discontinue, collecting, using, or disclosing said
information at any time.
ACCESS AND AMENDMENT/CORRECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we have about you.
We will also update your personal information as necessary and will immediately
correct inaccurate information upon your advice. You may also ask the TC to delete
information you have submitted at any time. To do so, please contact the TC Data
Protection Officer whose contact information is provided below.
STORAGE, RETENTION, DESCTRUCTION AND DISPOSAL
We will implement appropriate security measures in storing collected personal or
sensitive personal information. Your information shall be retained only for such period
as necessary to serve the purpose for which it was collected, or as required under any
contract or by any law, rule or regulation. Thereafter, it shall be disposed of or
destroyed in a secure manner that would prevent further processing, unauthorized
access, or disclosure to any other party.
USE OF COOKIES
